Danger Zone! Tom Cruise Talks Possible Top Gun 2: 'It's Just Got to Be Right'

Danger Zone! Tom Cruise Talks Possible Top Gun 2: 'It's Just Got to Be Right' Danger Zone! Tom Cruise Talks Possible Top Gun 2: 'It's Just Got to Be Right' Tom Cruise stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, where he revealed that he would be open to reprising his iconic role as Maverick for a highly anticipated sequel to Top Gun. “It’s just got to be right, that’s all,” he said. “We just have to figure it out.” Cruise, 54, seems to be all about reprising some of his most famous roles, as the actor was on the show to discuss his new film Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, in which he returns as the infamous ex-Army sergeant. But while Cruise remained tight-lipped on any plans for a sequel to Top Gun, he did let fans in on a 30-year-old secret from his days filming the original. The actor revealed that while in training for the movie, he ended up vomiting inside a jet flown by a guy with the nickname “Bozo.” “For our first flight in the morning, we were going really hard, moving around. We did 9.5 G’s, very hard on my body. I had a vomit bag right here, so in between takes I leaned down to quickly empty my guts in the bag,” recalled Cruise. “The second I did that, [Bozo] pulls up.” Cruise said the swift motion and pressure inside the airplane forced his head to hit the floor of the jet. “My head was literally on the ground from the pressure. I was pressed on the floor, holding my vomit. I kept going ‘Bozo! Bozo!’ I was choking, and he just kept pulling up and up,” the actor continued. “Finally he released, and we were going straight ahead. I was like, ‘Bozo, what’s the matter with you, man? Didn’t you see my head was on the floor?’ He was like, ‘Well I told you, they don’t call me Bozo for nothing.’”
