KATE Beckinsale’s husband Len Wiseman has filed for divorce from the actress after twelve years of marriage. The English star and director husband, both 43, are not said to be seeking spousal support from each other as they bring their union to an end. US site TMZ has revealed that Len cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ in the divorce papers, which were filed at a court in Los Angeles on Friday. The split became public in November, but reports suggest the pair separated months before the news was confirmed. The union may have been on the rocks for some time as they were last spotted out together on a dinner date in LA in June. he pair met on the set of 2003 horror action thriller Underworld, which has since become a popular franchise. Len directed and co-wrote the movie, which starred Kate as a sexy vampire warrior, and they fell in love. He later proposed during a romantic date at a hotel in Los Angeles, filling their suite with her favourite flowers – lillies – and they married the following year. During their 12-year marriage, Kate and Len did not have their own children, but the brunette beauty does have a teenage daughter named Lily from a previous relationship with actor Michael Sheen. Kate and Welsh star Michael dated from 1995 until 2003 after meeting while starring together in a play. The actor is currently dating US comedienne Sarah Silverman.
